I do photo-organic-catalysis, which although is a long difficult word invented by my tutor can be explained in some simple terms.

The word photo means light, therefore all my reactions require light to work.
Organic means that the molecules I use contain a carbon chain, which is what every living organism is made up of.
Catalysis is another word of saying making the reaction go faster.

So, my work is focusing on reactions that will only take place when light is shone on them, and trying to make these reactions go as fast as possible, in order to make it possible to use my method in medicine preparation.
