• Question: what has been the most annoying thing that has happened to you during an experiment?

      The fire alarm went off so I had to abandon my experiment mid way through and my data became unreliable because it came in contact with air. Having spent nearly a week working on that sample it was really annoying.

      Making everything else worse was the fact that it was a fire drill and not even a real fire!

      The spectrometer failing has to be one of the most annoying things! It was out of action for 3 months while we fixed each individual part 🙁
      We got it sorted though, but it was annoying!
