It really is a challenge keeping up with the questions – some of the questions are really interesting, but so many people have the same questions!

I guess what i find interesting is the most commonly asked question: “Why are you a scientist” – I frequently provide the answer to this one!

Its always interesting to see the whole variety of questions asked. Students tend to have different areas of interests, and therefore they will ask the most random questions a scientist would expect 🙂 That keeps things interesting for me.

I love it when students ask something completely unexpected! Some of my favourites are “which would be louder” or “which would win in a fight” though they aren’t the most scientific sometimes! I enjoy it all to be honest. Students are very honest about what they want to know in live chats from “how much do you earn” to “what will you do after your PhD” and some are really interested in my work which is awesome! Ask questions that you want to know the answers to, but avoid asking repeats if you can would be my advice! I look forward to chatting to you later! 🙂
