  I really like working with lasers but it can be really challenging. The types of lasers we use in our research can be very difficult to get working reliably – one of them needs to be in a lab with its own air conditioning, specially designed so there are no air currents in the room as they would otherwise ruin the laser beams.
  
  You can do some awesome science with lasers though, which more than makes up for how annoying they can be to get working!
