• Question: if you could pick any discovery that has ever happened and make it as you discovered it?

      I’m not sure my ethics would allow me to do that – it’s funny how ‘being a scientist’ affects the way you think and reason!

      I think that to take anything and pass it off as my own would not be fair, as I would not be able to live up to the expectation of the great minds that invented it unfortunately.

      Sorry to sound so boring, but really I couldn’t do it!

      Well, there are a number of discoveries that looking back I would say: I could have done that. I think I would simply say Newton’s law of motion would definitely figure high up that list. His laws are scientifically great, but I think they are great, and if I was born in his time I would have tried to get to those equations before him, making them mine!

      I’m not sure I’d want to take someone else’s discovery, but I’d have loved to work with elephants and find some new way of communicating with them that has never been achieved before!
