• Question: I have spoken to you in many ways about publicising your work, and you seem very interested to do so. Political talks, a semi-serious TV show and a book may sound both unachievable and ambiguous. But, over time seem like very good ideas, and will certainly affect the way we live and think drastically. Would you honestly consider doing these, and if so, when would I begin to hear your name being used in ways similar to Einstein (well maybe not Einstein ask at his time, he was considered an idiot - then again, that, in a way is similar to the way we discussed politics.)

When it comes to science recognition takes a lot of time to take place, and if that ever happens it will probably be in around 50 years time (about something I have not even dreamt about).

With regards to political talks, book and a semi serious TV show it is a different story all together.

Political talks are important, but unless you are a highly regarded MP most people will never hear your name. They will know about your ideas, cos these tend to be taken up by the brass at the top, but they might not know who was the first person to come up with them in the first place. As long as the ideas are taken up, I would have had the required effect.
A second point on this is that being a foreigner I might have a bigger influence in Malta rather then the UK, although it must be noted that policies tend to be similar in between different countries, a small country such as Malta can be easily used as a test country, something that has been done a number of times in the past.

A book would be on a a specific niche, so unless you would be working on photochemistry you might never have to read it in your life. Such books do tend to be simple autobiographies as well, but lets face it, reading the life of a scientist in the lab might not be the most interesting thing to do, even someone who has had as many mishaps in the lab as me.

A TV show is a huge commitment, even if it is a 5 minute segment per week, and that would have to be something for the future. Me and my colleagues have a number of ideas that we would try to do, but most of these would be shown via you tube rather then on tv.
