• Question: How do you survive the zombie apocalypse? Apart from steal an apache helicopter. An apache helicopter is an amazing piece of war machinery? but how would we survive from a science point of view? Chemical warfare? How?

      All you have to be is efficient. You need to find somewhere deserted and try to get as much food as possible. Assuming that the zombies will either need to feed or that they would die after a period of time your best option would be to stay hidden and emerge in the outside as little as possible.

      Ofc, it won’t do you any harm if you can get some decent weapons to fight off the zombie, and these might not necessary be guns etc, most animals hate certain smells, so if you find a smell that the zombies hate, you have a better chance of survival.

      I’m not sure I’d want to survive a zombie apocalypse… There wouldn’t be much left!

      I guess that, if you could avoid zombies for long enough, they would eventually starve. Everything needs energy to function – deprive them of food and they will eventually stop. The thing is that you would need to sustain yourself during this time, so you would need a reliable source of food yourself.

      This is where I come into my element (no chemistry pun intended there!) I have a plan for this. I’m not going to go into too much detail because lets face it, if it comes down to using The Z Plan, I don’t want to be too late because you’ve all beaten me to it!!
      Step 1 involves hoarding tinned food, anti-bacterial gel and batteries (this has to be done in advance though) and making sure we have a working tin opener (there’s nothing worse than having a lot of food and no way to get into it!)
      Step 2 involves getting in the car and going to a farm relatively nearby. We’d have to get some animals from the farm and keep them with us in the basement (the basement is always the best hiding place!)
      Step 3 involves having a weapon (our choice is a cricket bat each) that you can defend yourself against zombies or other survivors (who will be desperate to use all our supplies!)
      Step 4 is wait it out. And keep waiting for quite a long time before checking whether the coast is clear! The boys are right that the best way to survive is to just wait until the Zombies run out of food!!
