      I have to say yes, cos I have built up some new connections which might be beneficial in the future. Such competitions tend to bring scientists together, and the outcome of that might be something different then the initial expectations of the competition.

      I’ve had some really interesting ideas from other people – anything which gets scientists talking to each other has the potential to generate new research as you bang ideas together!

      Matthew and I have already had email discussions about our respective research, and I’m looking forward to discussing with him more in the future!
