• Question: Could the human race not have evolved for apes?

      Humans have never evolved from apes. What we share with apes is a common ancestor, and therefore humans and apes have developed from the same creature millions of year ago.

      Apart from that no, it is quite difficult to disprove this theory and anything else is 99.999% wrong.

      As Matthew said, we didn’t evolve directly from them, we just share an ancestor with them. They’re more like our distant cousins than great great great….great grandparents.

      Matthew pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one. While we share a common ancestor, apes went one way down the evolutionary pathway, while we rose from a different evolutionary path.
